In your post: Note any clear rhetorical choices the candidates make while answering. At the end of your post, say which candidate you agree with most and why.
For responses, agree, disagree, but ADD something to the discussion, ask a follow up question, challenge an assumption. Do something other than "I agree with Aggy" and I don't mean "I totally agree with Aggy."
Good luck.

Most of the candidates talk about America's safety and their "integrity" and reputation. Well what else would you expect them to say? Of course they want too look good, and they keep their reputations by saying they fear for America. Except for Fred Thompson who isn't afraid of anything. But they all made the choice to show that "they care about America and about the people living here etc., etc., etc."
I don't think I argee with any of them because these are not what I am afraid of losing. I'm afraid of losing my family, but she said besides your family. So I guess my health would be next? I don't know. My family's pretty much it for me.
Aggy, You're not afraid of losing your good reputation, milkshake making skills, access to a free education with the best teachers in the world, or your puppy? You are a woman who fears nothing. That's cool.
A few of the candidates spoke about being afraid of losing their health, which makes sense and I believe that they are trying to make themselves sound more human. These candidates are using the "plain folk" persuasive technique in attempt to relate to the potential voters.
Romney, McCain, and Giuliani all talked about their fear for losing their freedom, or America. Those answers given sounded too cliche for my taste.
Obama went for the good boy look. He said that he didnt want to disappoint the people who have helped him get this far in the election. He's yearning for everyone's trust. He's promising to work hard no matter how much pressure he's under in office.
Out of all of these candidates I would most likely agree with Obama, simply because he isnt going for the whole I'm human scene. He knows that he's human and that's why he's saying trust him.
Aggy, you said that the next thing you would be afraid of losing was your health. Why don't you pick from the candidates that talked about their health and relate with one of them? I'm sure there is something you agree with in one of their statements.
Mr. Holt,
I'm not afraid of losing my reputation, because what people think of me doesn't bother me THAT MUCH.
I'm not afraid of losing my milkshake making skills because that will never happen because I'm too awesome and to deprive the world of my milkshakes would be a crime.
I'm not afaraid of losing free education becuase it's not really free. My education all together, possibly. Other people's education? Deffinately. People are too stupid as it is.
And I am afraid of losing my puppy, but I considered him as part of my family.
Great Post Raven!!!
Aggy's milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, and they're like it's better than yours and she would have to charge to teach you. (Something like that.)
I agree with Raven. Some of the candidates' responses were very cliched and very predictable.
McCain and Rumney chose the obvious and safe choice- America. Of course they're afraid of losing what it stands for. How else would they be president if there wasn't an America?
Giviani, Clinton, and Huckabee all said health in one way or another. This is an emotional appeal to the average American. Who wants bad health?
Obama, Edwards, Biden, and Richardson all claimed that their consiences, integrity, and honesty were all things that they would hate to be on the line. Conveinantly those are all qualities that many people look for in a politician when they are about to vote.
Thompson was the only one that stood out by saying "time lost with his family." This is probably another emotional appeal.
Many of the candidates were all wearing American flag pins- another obvious rhetorical choice.
